The room selection at Thunder Valley is a pretty simple matter, coming down to whether you want a room with a king or two queen beds, or a suite. The rooms here are quite spacious though, with 535 square feet of living space, and are quite well appointed.

The furnishings are very nice, and come with a marble bathroom, both a shower and a soaking tub, robes, ironing board and iron, in room safe, hair dryer, refrigerator, coffee maker, wireless internet, and 3 telephones. The suites are similarly appointed, but are twice the size.

There are several selections as far as dining options go and Thunder Valley takes its dining fare quite seriously. It is headlined by the four diamond award winning steakhouse High Steaks, considered to be the best in the area.

For more casual dining, the Thunder Café offers the ambiance and food of a classic American diner. There’s also a buffet restaurant with all you can eat fare along with regular specials.

Those who enjoy Asian cuisine will want to check out the Red Lantern. There’s also a 5 restaurant food court, including Pizza Hut, Subway, Fatburger, Panda Express, and Peet’s Coffee and Tea.

The entertainment options here include concerts at their outdoor amphitheater, featuring a lot of big names from the past. The Main Stage indoors offers even more live entertainment. There are bars at High Steaks and the Red Lantern, as well as three lounges, Illusions, Mingle and the Thunder Bar.

The spa here is open from 10 AM to 7 PM daily and offers a full range of spa services for those seeking to relax and unwind or receive one of their many spa treatments. They also have a fitness center and a seasonal pool area, the Coconut Pool + Bar.

Hundreds of guests returned to Thunder Valley Casino when it reopened today at 10:00AM. New health and safety protocols require all guests and workers pass a temperature check at entry and wear face masks inside. The gaming area has been configured for social distancing between players.

Thunder Valley Casino reopens June 8

May 26, 2020

An announcement on the homepage of Thunder Valley Casino states the casino will reopen June 8. The hotel will also reopen and is accepting room reservations beginning June 8. No other information is available at this time.

Thunder Valley Casino follows Hard Rock Hotel and Casino and Red Hawk Casino in announcing plans to resume operations after two months of shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thunder Valley Casino signs partner for future sports betting

October 10, 2018

Currently there is no known date set for sports betting to be legalized in California. However one tribe has begun putting the gaming infrastructure in place for when that day comes.

The United Auburn Indian Community has partnered with MGM GVC Interactive to be in place for when the game is legalized. The announcement of the partnership was made on Tuesday in a press release.

The tribe owns the Thunder Valley Casino Resort.

Under the partnership retail and mobile sports betting will be offered. As well as online casino and poker.

Recently MGM made an arrangement with the National Basketball Association. This will also benefit the tribe.

Currently states have passed sports betting gaming regulations to allow the game in operation. A measure to allow sports betting in California is expected to be on the ballot in 2020.

Thunder Valley is adding 25,000 sq-ft of slots, bingo and poker by March 1

January 26, 2018

Another 25,000 square feet is being added to Thunder Valley Casino. The expansion project is expected to be completed by March when the casino hosts the World Poker Tour.

Plans include a larger casino floor. This will add space for a poker room with 400 seats. A new bingo hall will also be built. It will have 800 seats. The slot area reserved for high limit gaming will also be remodeled. The area will add 450 slots.

The cost of the project is $36 million and will last for 12 months.
